September 09'-Card Swap Club

Here is my contribution to my Card Swap Club for the month of September. We meet every other month. My dilemma is that it's supposed to be a card. Technically this is a card but you just can't put this one in an envelope. SU! has envelopes for these cards w/ the cute little bubble in the center but the envelopes are meant for mailing purposes. So, this card will just have to be handed personally to the recipient. No biggie!! ?? I hope everyone likes the halloween card regardless. I think it turned out really cute. I love the combination of only orange, old olive, and perfect plum. I really lucked out w/ the same color Jelly Belly candies. All products are SU! except for the tag and purple background I used spellbinders die cuts. (Love them!) Notice the backdrop for my card is my cuttlebug... clearly I use this so much that it never really gets put away. I sponged some Vintage Touch tea dye duo from PTI on the tag and white parts of the stamped image. It is fool proof, I love using it. I had fun making my first bubble cards. It's a little tricky to fill your bubble container and then remove the adhesive and stick directly in the center of your cardstock. I first placed the bubble in the center of the cardstock and drew around the circle w/ a pencil. Then I filled the center, removed the adhesive and slowly moved the bubble closer to the cardstock placing directly over the pencil mark. Worked like a charm!! I would highly recommend trying it. It's pretty simple and sooo cute! See ya!

August 09'-Swap

Hi everyone,
Here is the hostess swap for August. I always struggle w/ the combination of a pretty but simple card. This month I was really sticking to my guns and then I had to throw a button in the center of the flower. It just didn't look right w/o it. I just love, love, love this die cut from SU! There is even a bigger flower that I could have used. It just didn't look right on this card. I have used this die cut before on a previous card that I have posted to this blog. The stamp set is from the Thoughts and Prayers SU! stamp set. All products except for the button are SU! Colors are pumpkin pie, old olive, so saffron, and whisper white. In the center of the flower is Razzleberry Lemononade DSP by SU! I love the addition to the two strips of cardstock on the side. Again, I try to stay simple but pretty and unique. I hope everyone likes their swap. Toodles!

Baby Shower Favors-Monogrammed Cards

Question?

Have you ever been to a shower (wedding or baby) and gotten a favor that is completely useless?? I know I have.

While the intention was nice and the cost was substantial, the practicality of the item or items was somewhat lost in translation.

INTRODUCING-Monogrammed stationery for all of your shower guests. I had a lady order monogrammed cards from me for each one of her baby shower guests back in December. Each guest received 5 personalized cards with their initial on them. What a thoughtful and unique gift. What guest wouldn't be able to use these? The uses are endless. Drop a quick note, thank you, bday, thinking of you, etc. Every guest was genuinely touched by the gesture.

Well, at the time "blogging" was still new to me and unfortunatly I didn't take any pics of the cards. So, this time when I was approached by another lady to do the same thing I was sure to not pass this picture opportunity up again. What do you think? Would you like to be the recipient of these monogrammed cards? I know I would. These cards are so easy and fun to make. The saying on the tag was thought of by the hostess. It just kind of says it all. I will be delivering these favors later this week. I hope she is as pleased as I am with the result. The paper, scallop circle punch, and circle punches are all SU! and the stamps are by PTI. Hope you have a great day!

Supper Club-St Anthony Preschool

I thought I'd share some pics of our "fancy" dinner that we have the other night at our home. My husband and I hosted our Supper Club the other night. It's a group of 7 couples from our son's preschool. We are the 6th couple to host the dinner and we wanted to make it a little extra special. I used this die cut of the dress and tuxedo for placecards. From the first time I have seen these die cuts from AccuCut I have fallen in love w/ them. I used my Cricut for the name tag. Aren't they just adorable. I chose Navy Blue and Light Blue because I figured that would best match our china. The night was a complete success.

Baby Girl Card

Holy card day! Today has been pretty productive around here. You may never see three posts in one day from me for a long time to come. But I am going to be pretty busy next week so I figured I'd hurry up and upload a few cards.
Is this card sweet or what? I just love making baby cards. I got to use my new rhinestones because the baby is a girl--can you tell! The new printed paper from SU! is wonderful. The stamps are from PaperTrey Ink. I can't wait to give it to my girlfriend.

Club Card Swap-July 09'

Here is my card swap for a card swap club that I belong to. I love the bottom of this card that I copied from Debbie Olson (Thinking Inking) the die cut is from SU!. The primary shapes are nestabilities and the stamps are all from PaperTrey Ink. The cardstock and printed paper are from SU!. I found these rhinestones a while back and love them! They came in several different colors and finish off the card perfectly.

July 09'-Swap

Here is another monthly card swap. This is the monthly swap that I pass out to my past hostesses. It's just a small way of saying thank you. I used the new stamp set from SU! Circle Circus. I love this new stamp set. It seems to be quite versatile. The colors are Perfect Plum and Old Olive. I used the baby wipe technique for the large flower circle. The verse stamp is from the Define your Life stamp set. I hope you have a great weekend, enjoy!
